David Dunn is a composer, writer, performer, bio-acoustician, electronic music historian, researcher, and editor whose work crosses boundaries between science and art, the natural and the unnatural.

• Heuristic Automata (Book 1). 15 musical compositions for various combinations of conventional musical instruments, electronic sounds, and sounds derived from environmental field recordings. All of the works utilize the same basic computer code to transcribe complex sonic phenomena (either electronic sounds generated from analog circuits or sounds from "natural" environmental sources) into traditional musical notation.
